In the late 1890s, police Detective William Murdoch takes a new, more scientific approach to solving crimes. Assisted by coroner Dr. Julia Ogden and Constable George Crabtree, Murdoch introduces such concepts as finger marks and lie detecting machines. He has the support of his somewhat doubtful superior, Inspector Brackenreid, though at times, even he finds Murdoch's methods - and claims - somewhat astounding.

Murdoch Mysteries Ratings & Reviews
- dncallahan457025 februari 2025Great costume show. Mystery done with tongue in cheek. Light hearted with restrained love interested. Introduces many historical persons in supporting roles. Brings the unjust treatment of different cultures with a serious way. My granddaughter has watched some episodes with me and ask why were they treated that way? Brings up an easy was to try explaining the darkness in many men’s heart to others. Very hard to explain women’s lack of the right to vote and advance in business. Using stories to show the “Bad Old Days” is understandable younger girls. The cast is varied showing different strengths and weaknesses.
- PCGregory10111 september 2025Awesome show! And I love learning things about historical prominent figures and inventors. (I don't know why it won't let me give five stars, but the highest it's allowing is four and a half)
