USA dåvarande president, Harry S. Truman beslöt med hjälp av Albert Einstein att en hemlig stad skulle byggas i en avlägsen del av Idaho. Staden som kom att kallas Eureka bebos av de smartaste människorna i Amerika och skyddar landets hemligheter. Invånarna i Eureka står bakom nästan alla vetenskapliga framsteg de senaste femtio åren. När Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) transporterar en rymling, kör han vilse och kommer till Eureka där han blir vald till stadens nya sheriff efter att den förre skadats allvarligt.

"Eureka" is a mashup of F&SF, sitcom, and family drama that somehow comes together. Sets and costumes are great, especially for F&SF. For the most part the characters are consistent and reasonably believable. Storylines are entertaining. The downside is that it's offbeat and the series won't resonate with everyone.
