In a village where job opportunities are limited to fish gutter or doctor, and the only thing anyone finds funny is watching someone floundering in a tank of dead fish, a young woman goes through ‘a thing'. It’s painfully slow and you’ll almost drown in the dense, brooding atmosphere, or get sore eyes from squinting into the darkness, but it’s actually not bad. Once or twice it’s genuinely heart-breaking. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.
