An also-ran movie that can't help but feel familiar. There is nothing new in this story. It feels like a dozen other movies blended together. Acting was ok. Some scenes were borderline stupid, e.g. while frantically trying to outpace the evil machine, the vehicle driver constantly turns facing backward to tell her team what she's doing. Really? Perhaps she was watching her own "six?" Glad I didn't waste time driving to the theater, paying dearly to watch a re-run.

I want my ranger scroll for making it across the finish line of this movie haha I could cut 90 minutes out of this and nothing would be lost. Worst alien ever couldn't blow up a ww2 truck and got killed by rocks twice. Pretty good cheers

War Machine is Netflix's new alien invasion movie staring Alan Ritchson. Most of Netflix movies are crap but this one was fun. Is it going to win any awards absolutely not. Ritchson proves in this role why he needs to be cast in the new G. I. Joe movie as Duke! He plays the military role perfectly. His character is a little one dimensional but that is ok. He is surrounded with a decent supporting cast that does a serviceable job acting. The action is fun and the special effects are good for the most part. There are a few scenes that are really noticeable green screen. As for the story it's your basic invasion movie/one man army and nothing new is brought to the table but It's the journey of Ritchson's character that makes this fun. If you're bored and want a quick action alien invasion movie then head over to Netflix and hit play. By The Numbers breakdown: Cast-7 Acting-7 Trailer-8 Ending-7 Story-7 Visuals-8 Direction-8 Sound-7 Genre-9 Sub Genre-9 The Faces For Radio score - 77.

Best movie I've seen in a while. Good action, crazy scifi additions. I hope for a 2nd

So this might seem like a generous rating to many people. Let me explain. I walked into this movie expecting mindless action and relatively shallow character development. And that is what I got, but it was well done action and plot that moves. I had not seen any trailers, I just figured this was going to be a Jack Reacher clone. I was wrong. It is Jack Reacher meets Metal Gear Solid with some Independence Day. And this can be a stand alone (hopefully) or expanded into a franchise based on the open ending. Watch this if you’re in the mood for mindless action with some decent effects and explosive action.

Kandahar is the second largest city in Afghanistan and the main spiritual and de facto power center of the Taliban. Two brothers in this city, during the American military incursion. Those two conditions alone would be enough to generate a sensational war film, but the script preferred to go down the path of Battleship (2012) and did so disastrously. There's no other way to describe it. I really liked Battleship, but War Machine fails miserably in this script. Man, I imagined something close to the excellent The Covenant (2023) by Guy Ritchie. What did the guy do with the 'bitterness' of having his brother murdered? Alan Ritchson was wasted in this script; even the Ranger's training journey was terrible. It could have been a great film.

This movie sucks. Generic and freaking boring. The action sucks and the characters are dumb. Just a straight up US military propaganda piece.

Got major trauma? Just slap some more major trauma on top and just push through, you'll be fine! Powerful message.
