An ominous broadcast brings viewers forgotten nightmares of the 1980s: a disaster recovery crew unleashes the wrath of an ancient god; a lake that brings the dead back to life; a performance art piece makes contact with a creature from the beyond; an all-guns-out undead bloodbath, and a disturbing vision of videotaped murders.

Hit or miss with this one. At least I was entertained throughout, even with the not so great segments. Some fun ideas in here.

⭐☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ – V/H/S/85 – Static Interference - If i could put a 0 i would V/H/S/85 is a horror anthology that feels like someone unearthed it from a damp VHS bin and decided to screen it without checking for mould. I genuinely wanted to like it — I love horror, especially experimental, found-footage style stuff — but after about 20 minutes, I hit a wall. Not suspense. Not terror. Just… static. The grainy aesthetic is supposed to evoke nostalgia; instead, it felt like a glitch loop with no payoff. I never reached any point of connection, dread, or curiosity — only impatience. I know some fans rave about its raw, unsettling energy or its creative anthology structure, but sometimes a format’s novelty can't overcome the feeling of being stuck in a flickering TV waiting for something to happen. If others enjoyed it, more power to them. For me, it was a bleak reminder that horror isn't just about mood — it needs momentum, too. And this one never pressed play. 🛑 Pairing: None. The tape was ejected before I got to dessert.
