Watched it first on a fuzzy late night broadcast, then wore out the VHS and now it lives in my Plex like a sacred relic. Every rewatch feels like catching up with old friends who remind you that freedom isn’t just a place, it’s a mindset. If you’ve ever felt trapped by circumstance, this film hands you a rock hammer and says, “Start digging.” Absolute cinema. No notes.

It's the best ever Stephen King movie adaptation and is one of the best movies ever made in general. The Shawshank Redemption is also timeless & endlessly rewatchable. This is one of those films that you have to watch & experience before you die, for those of you....that have never seen it before this is 💯 a must watch.
