They encounter an eccentric police officer who apparently has something to hide. Along the trail, they find an abandoned campsite that has been completely torn to shreds. Even in the nearby towns, the people seem isolated and terrified. With the illness taking its toll, the towns people start to hunt them down in this chase for survival.
