- Michael Surber16 november 2025Ok, I'll be the first to admit this isn't EXACTLY how it was back in the 80s metal scene, but it's darn close! This epic film started out as a Judas Priest biopic but they soon distanced themselves from it. Too bad because this is a great movie if you lived thru this musical decade. Definitely had its haters but I freaking love this movie. Fantastic band to support Mark on stage including Zakk Wilde. Gimme blood!!

- LivewireAdmin3 februari 2026I get the sense that if a movie like Rock Star came out today, certain online film circles would be hailing it as boldly original. It carries the familiar rise-and-fall energy of a music biopic, but sidesteps real history in favor of pure fiction, which gives it a surprisingly refreshing edge. Drop a modern star like Austin Butler into this kind of role, release it today and it would absolutely find its audience. I chuckled when they played "Good Vibrations" during the credits.
