Where to Watch Overlord
- Eduardo Defant2 september 2026Overlord is really damn good. The settings and atmosphere feel straight out of a Call of Duty game, especially with the World War II vibe, secret experiments, and nonstop tension. The whole concept is crazy in the best way, and the action is intense. The sound design is also excellent, with a lot of powerful bass that makes the experience even better.
- Louis Alexander18 februari 2025This movie is underrated in my opinion. I wasn't expecting this movie to be this good lol! If you are a horror fan then you will appreciate this movie.
- ProfSolon29 augusti 2026The main character the black guy was too soft and virtue signaling it hurt the over all film the most. Also nazi bad guys is aging poorly So a bit cliche over all But its because I guess it ties into the lower of Cloverfield
- rev79423 augusti 2026Surprisingly original and great movie
- Shaydeknight9 augusti 2026I enjoyed the film but found it a bit predictable and just plain gross at times. Now I admit, I absolutely love the film's title screen. It looks exactly as though it stepped out of 1950, making a film about 1943. After that, we get the typical buddy squad war flick for a while and then we get zombies introduced into the mix. It's not a bad medley, but it felt like I'd been there before, probably when I played Call of Duty: World at War back in 2008 and unlocked Nazi Zombies mode. It was good as a war film, but when it flips into the zombie storyline, it just sort of smoulders out for me. Still, the film worked well enough. Jovan Adepo does a wonderful job as Boyce, and his character is fantastically written and developed throughout the film. He's flanked by a solid supporting cast: Wyatt Russell as the war-weary Corporal Ford, Mathilde Ollivier as the local Frenchwoman caught up in the mess, John Magaro, Iain De Caestecker, Jacob Anderson and Bokeem Woodbine rounding out the squad, with Pilou Asbaek doing reliably slimy work as the requisite sadistic SS officer. Nobody in the cast is a household name, but that lack of star power actually suits the film. These feel like soldiers rather than movie stars playing dress-up. The opening paratrooper sequence is quite intense, the practical make-up effects are well done, and there's a bold willingness to play the war material straight before the horror kicks in. On the other hand, some of the characters are pretty thinly sketched and even though the performances are competent they're not truly memorable (except for Adepo). I'd like to get picky and flag the historical liberties, like casting black actors as members of the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne when that division wasn't actually desegregated until after the war. But you know what? A movie already committed to Nazi super-soldier zombies seems like it probably isn't going for strict historical accuracy anyway. There's nothing I can point to that is terrible in the film, but nothing really grabbed my attention either. It's a competent little time waster.
- RedHarlow1314 juli 20268.5/10 - Overlord = Goated ass War/Sci-Fi film If i do say so myself this movie was awesome i've seen it 4 times now and what a setting to place it in man so great
- Braden21 juni 2026Overlord is an incredible mashup up my favorite genres. Fantastic special effects, blaring soundstage and pristine visuals (curtesy of the solid 4k release) all make this a must watch for horror fans. Would recommend!
- Smokesjackson26 april 2026Umm little bit of a plot twist. But not a bad movie
- HyperTendencies31 december 2025Underrated and dope. Nazi zombies peak.
- Austin Burke28 april 2025A wild and completely original zombie premise comes to life in a unique and entertaining way.
- DigitalDisappointment16 februari 2025I do not understand WHO is rating these movies, that are absolute GARBAGE, so highly that they're showing up with 67 or 82 percent scores. There's nothing brilliant here, there's barely anything good. There's certainly nothing original. Just two hours of wasted time.
