- Charles London3 maj 2025The movie grabs you from the opening titles set to a dramatic score of Adagio in G minor. Then the fabulous wide-screen cinematography becomes immediately evident in the opening scene, set in the year 1915. We go from Western Australia, to Egypt, and then to Turkey in this story of fictional characters against the backdrop of true events. Events that Australians will never forget. This is a well-done production on all levels. A moving and poignant story of idealistic young men and their loss of innocence at the hands of war and it's sobering consequences.
- ርልዪረ1 oktober 2025I found this movie to be breathtaking. It accurately depicts what War really is, an unscary Blood Bath. It follows the experience of War of two main characters, as runners. I love that Director Peter Weir had decided to end the film, the way that sadly, most people in war end, with him being shot by multiple by poor communications between the chief officers, and the front line officers. It is an absolutely tragic ending, done so beautifully and truly.
