ET TU is one of those movies I'm gonna be thinking about for a really long time. Lou Diamond Phillips plays a theater director slowly going mad during a regional production of Julius Caesar, and boy does he go MAD. It's tense, dark, jarring and weird but also hilarious? The Shakespeare parallels are brilliant - like a play within a play. I wasn't familiar with most of the cast but they were incredible, plus Malcolm McDowell as the janitor (love him from A Clockwork Orange). Reminded me of The Shining vibes-wise. Super bloody and amazing - I wonder how much fake blood they went through! Some killer one-liners too, especially "I don't know what guffaw means." The dagger scenes are literally one of my biggest nightmares. I love when an indie film surprises me like this. Perfect spooky season watch! Et tu, Max Tzannes did an incredible job directing!
