- "THE MOVIE FANATIC"2 november 2025I really enjoyed the first 60 minutes of the film. The suspense & tension building at the beginning & middle of the film was all really good.....I was really interested & invested with where they were going to go with it in the final act. Our antagonist Emilie played by Sarah Bolger, gives a really good & chilling performance as our villain! However what ultimately holds this movie back a lot for me, is the 3rd act of the film with how it was handled & executed it just didn't quite come together for me....they just couldn't quite stick the landing with it in other words. I also found it to be very anticlimactic, predictable.....and that ending was so unsatisfying, unfocused & undefinitve as well. Had the 3rd act been as strong and as focused as the first 60 minutes, then I would have given at least a 4 and a half star rating/score for Emilie....but unfortunately the last 20 mins especially were very disappointing.
