Some good points here and there. A fairly typical US attempt at European Arthouse, with lots of prolonged silence and awkward scenes that need more concise editing.

Brilliant Movie, real slow, steady burn but seriously intense. Some great characters, with the villains being real nasty. Some great sound throughout. It was a nice surprise this. I probably had this on the back burner just because I was unwilling to take Gosling seriously, but what a brilliant watch.

The liberal application of Kavinsky in the intro is just what the doctor ordered. The dialogue (or lack thereof) can feel a bit wooden sometimes, but it's a minor gripe in an otherwise excellent revenge story.

One of the best movies of the 2010s, and such a gem in so many ways. Well written, well directed, great photography, and AMAZING soundtrack. I've watched this movie probably ten times since its release.
