- omerdon−7 dFor any new marvel fan this is gash. But as someone who watched this in the 90s it has a fun nostalgic feel to it. Red Skull is actually petty menacing, and this, if nothing else holds up well even now.
- stuhannaford26 juni 2025It isn’t a TV movie, but it certainly looks like one. Considering it was made a year AFTER Burton’s Batman, it’s impossible to excuse the lack of finesse and cinematic styling on the time period… much less when you consider how much earlier Superman was also. The issue? Budget, clearly. The script has some questionable lines, a lot of odd track decisions and some less than convincing villainous performances. It is kind of watchable… I would add that the only likely audience nowadays would be MCU super fans. Younger viewers, who have grown up on the big budget movies of the last decade or so, will struggle with the lack of tech, both in front and behind the camera. They’ll likely lose interest with the lack of glamorous names, 90’s effects and general production values. Not quite super, more have-a-go hero.
