Based on the classic novel by Emily Brontë, Wuthering Heights is a story of love, obsession, hate and revenge. The protagonists, Cathy and Heathcliff, form a love that is dark and destructive and affects the lives of everyone around them. Foundling Heathcliff is raised by the wealthy Earnshaws in Yorkshire but in later life launches a vendetta against the family.

F1Teil 1Das junge Straßenkind Heathcliff wird von dem alten Earnshaw aufgenommen und wächst auf dem Landgut ‚Wuthering Heights‘ zusammen mit Earnshaws eigenen Kindern auf. Als der alte Mann stirbt, übernimmt dessen Sohn Hindley das Gut und tyrannisiert Heathcliff, der fortan als Stallbursche arbeiten muss. Heathcliff und Hindleys Schwester Cathy, die sich ineinander verliebt haben, dürfen sich nicht näher kommen. Eines Tages wirbt Edgar, der Erbe des feudalen Herrenhauses ‚Thrushcross Grange‘ um Cathys Hand und sie nimmt den Antrag an. Tief gedemütigt und enttäuscht verlässt Heathcliff das Gut. - Teil 2
F2Teil 2Als Heathcliff mehrere Jahre später als eleganter und reicher Mann zurückkehrt, versucht er erneut, Cathys Herz zu erobern. Doch diese weist ihn zurück, da sie von Edgar schwanger ist und Heathcliff viel lieber als einen Freund hätte. Jetzt reicht es Heathcliff endgültig und er startet einen unbarmherzigen Rachefeldzug.
