After serving time at a juvenile detention center, eighteen-year-old Kris Furillo is given the opportunity to start a new life. Her talent with horses is recognized by a volunteer and local trainer, who arranges a job for her at the Ritter's family run ranch.

Junior becomes partners with Pete on his new club, and begins to get acquainted with his mother Isabelle. Junior bets everything he has [the club] against Wildfire, with Bobby who claims he has turned over a new leaf. it turns out there is a major accident where both wildfire and dani's horse are hurt. Kris starts to beleive the accident is her fault.
