Season 1, Episode 1Host Angela Groothuizen travels with a group of 10 ordinary Dutch people to Australia. The contestants are Arnoud, Deborah, Foke, John, Petra, Robin, Sandy, Warner, Willy and Wilmie. In the first episode the contestants complete a 25 km off‑road jeep route, take part in a diving game where they must surface words to form a sentence, and learn to play the didgeridoo.

Season 1, Episode 2In the second episode the contestants organize a Dutch party for at least one hundred Australians, answer questions under pressure, and raft down a wild river.

Season 1, Episode 3In the third episode the contestants try to survive 24 hours on an uninhabited island, face a challenge featuring typically Australian dishes, and take part in a bungee-jump task at Smithfield Heights.

Season 1, Episode 4In the fourth episode, the contestants visit a Pac-Man maze with hunters at night, try to photograph whales, and compete against local sports champions.

Season 1, Episode 5In the fifth episode, four contestants must reach a flagpole on the beach of Fraser Island while hunters try to catch them. After spending a night at a self-selected sleeping spot, the candidates face heavy individual challenges, in which one contestant can sacrifice themselves to make things easier for the rest.

Season 1, Episode 6In the sixth episode, the contestants have to hitchhike to Byron Bay and film Australian truck drivers during their trip. One contestant gets the chance to earn an exemption by disguising themselves, while the other contestants complete the Byron Bay round: biking, running, kayaking, and climbing a mountain.
