The story concerns two families, on two neighboring farms on the border between Brazil and Uruguay. Many decades drive these people away. The physical proximity is separated by a fence that delimits the field and the set of prejudices, inexplicable hatreds and lack of generosity. The end of the year arrives and, between Christmas and New Year, families gather on their respective farms.
