Meredith Borders
Twin Peaks had a gem of a character in Dale Cooper -- such a gem that my love for him in a mere ten or so episodes has eclipsed the entire rest of the series -- and it squandered him.
Observer
Vinnie Mancuso
Look, it's not that I don't like Twin Peak's hocus-pocus, per se. I guess I just really want them to get somewhere with it. Or just get somewhere at all.
Film School Rejects
H. Perry Horton
Twin Peaks will never again be as focused as it is this episode and the next, and while that isn't all negative, there is a twisted sense of nostalgia at play here, as well as a definite sense of closure, or at least "closure" as Twin Peaks defines it.
New York Times
Noel Murray
Viewers get to spend a few more disquieting moments with a grinning, singing Mr. Palmer.
Nerdist
Eric Diaz
There's a lot of positives about this episode, chief among them Ray Wise in full tilt evil mode.
AV Club
Keith Phipps
An episode of simmering tension and ominous notes.
