Meredith Borders
Okay, so this plot doesn't hold up to prolonged scrutiny, but I still enjoy it. It engages Cooper, it tortures Leo, it offers us a new villain who isn't Hank or the Femme Fatale.
Film School Rejects
H. Perry Horton
Episode 21 is a return to form for Twin Peaks that sees Coop start back on the road to his black suit, expands the lore of the Lodges, and begins the Earle plotline in earnest.
New York Times
Noel Murray
The title of this episode doesn't specifically refer to Ben Horne and Leo Johnson, but it works as a way of framing the arcs of these two characters, who both go through significant transitions in this hour.
Nerdist
Eric Diaz
The James/Evelyn soap opera is beyond terrible, and just flat out embarrassing for a show which was as high quality as this one. Same goes for the stupid Little Nicky plot.
AV Club
Keith Phipps
An episode far more solidly put together than its contents deserve.
