A sequel, of sorts, to Camberwick Green but set in the larger, nearby town of Trumpton. Each episode opens with the town hall clock and ends with the fire brigade band playing. Every show tells the story of one of the townsfolk.

The Bill PosterThe Trumpton fire brigade attempt to put up posters to advertise their band concert. But there doesn't seem to be anywhere they can put them, and when they do get to put some up, they get in an awful mess.

Miss Lovelace and the Mayor's HatThe Mayor of Trumpton inspects the town park. He discovers a broken bench, which is soon mended, but then a gust of wind blows his hat off and the Fire Brigade are called in to retrieve it from a tall tree.
Mrs Cobbit and the Ice Cream Man

Mrs Cobbit and the Ice Cream ManMrs Cobbit has a very bad day - first the branch of a tree crashes through her roof, then when she gets to the town market, she finds that an ice-cream man has taken her regular pitch. Fortunately with the help of the other townsfolk, her problems are soon solved.

Miss Lovelace and the StatueMiss Lovelace asks Chippy Minton to come around and fix her door which is sticking. While he and Nibbs are working on the door her dogs escape into the street causing a truck to swerve and knock the crown off the Queen's statue.

Mr Platt and the PainterThe Mayor informs Mr Platt the clockmaker that the Town Hall clock is going to be painted. After Mr Harkin finishes the job Mr Troop goes into Mr Platt's shop to tell him that the clock has stopped. What could be stopping it?
The Mayor's Birthday

The Mayor's BirthdayThe Mayor is very proud of his position and would like a painting of the Town Hall. The villagers decide to give him the painting for his birthday, and Chippy Minton has seen an artist painting scenes in the village. But the artist has vanished, so Chippy and the other villagers go looking for him.
The Telephone

The TelephoneThe Mayor calls in an engineer to sort out a problem with his phone. The engineer digs down to the telephone wires, but when he goes to lunch, one of Mrs Lovelace's dogs falls in the hole and discnnects all the cables! The assistant, Fred, tries to reconnect the wires but gets it all wrong and much confusion ensues.
The Rag And Bone Man

The Rag And Bone ManThe Mayor launches a 'Tidy Up Trumpton' campaign prompting Mrs Minton to clean out Chippy's workshop. She gives an old rocking horse to the rag and bone man but doesn't know that Chippy has been saving all their money in it.
The Window Cleaner

The Window CleanerMr Robinson the window cleaner arrives in the square. While he is cleaning Miss Lovelace's windows she asks him to have a look at her chimney. But while he's up there Mr Troop removes his ladder leaving him stuck on the roof.
Cuthbert's Morning Off

Cuthbert's Morning OffFireman Cuthbert has a morning off and goes to visit his aunt. But the two of them get separated in town and end up looking for each other. Even the rest of the fire brigade get involved in the search.
The Plumber

The PlumberWhile doing repairs in the town hall, Chippy Minton and his assistant Nibbs discover that the water tank is leaking, and they call in the plumber, Mr Wilkins. He sees that the tank needs replacing, but he finds that he can't remove the old one, so the fire brigade are called in to help.
Pigeons

PigeonsMr Platt is showing Mrs Cobbit his homing pigeons but Chippy doesn't think that they can fly home. So Mr Platt tells him to take one home and release it. But a storm brings down a tree blocking the road. How can they get help?
The Greenhouse

The GreenhouseIt is the day of the annual vegetable show at the park, but the park keeper tells the Mayor about the poor condition of the chimney on his greenhouse. The Borough Surveyor condemns it as unsafe disrupting the holding of the show.
