Janet and Chrissy get Jack as a roommate for their Santa Monica apartment. Jack can cook (he's studying to be a chef) and, when called to do so, pretends he's gay to legitimize the arrangement. Landlady Roper wishes husband Stanley showed more interest in her.

    ...And Justice for JackJack gets a job at a diner. When his boss comes onto him and he rebuffs her, she fires him. The girls convince Jack to sue her for sexual harassment. When he goes to the lawyer, the lawyer also comes onto him, so he replaces her. At the hearing, the judge also can't keep her eyes off Jack.

The guy is impressed with Jack that he makes him the new building manager leaving Furley out in the cold. They try to come up with a plan to get him alone so that Furley can finally stand up to him.

Mr. Furley informs them that he heard loud, banging noises from their apartment earlier and Mike the Bartender mentions that he spotted a teary Cindy getting into a car with an older man. Jack and Janet also found a half-smoked cigar in the ashtray in their apartment. Therefore, with all these clues, they suspect that Cindy has been kidnapped.
