Audition 1Part 1 of the audition discovered some truly ""xtraordinary, xceptional and xciting"" Australian singing talent. Thousands of talented, ambitious and in some cases deluded contestants paraded past the three judges, who worked together as a majority rules selection panel. Contenders will now audition for one of three categories - solo artists 16-24, solo artists 25 plus, and vocal groups. Of the thousands of hopefuls, only 30 contestants will be chosen in each of the three categories. This episode's auditions were from Melbourne. - Audition 4E4
