The Tommyknockers Ratings & Reviews

It isn’t great, but it’s not a total loss either. The small-town setting and mysterious atmosphere work well at first, and there’s a certain charm to the old-school TV horror style. Jimmy Smits and Marg Helgenberger give decent performances, and the story has some interesting ideas, even if it doesn’t always stick the landing. The pacing can be slow, and the effects haven’t aged well, but there’s still enough here to keep it watchable—especially for Stephen King fans or lovers of retro sci-fi. It’s flawed, but kind of fun in its own weird, dated way.
