The Saint is a modern-day Robin Hood of sorts; he prevents criminals from succeeding. Where a reward is offered, or where the criminal's loot is not discovered or disappears, he keeps it to cover his expenses. Simon Templar must always stay one step ahead of the law. Fortunately, his wit, charm, and knowledge of a criminal's ways make this a fairly easy task.

    The Best Laid SchemesSeveral weeks after the body of her husband was pulled from the sea, Arlene Fleming receives calls allegedly from him. The Saint discovers the main beneficiary to Fleming's will is his nephew, who seems to be closely involved with his uncle's business rival. Templar tries to talk to the locals about Fleming, but is greeted with hostility; until one of them tells Simon they're convinced; Fleming was murdered.

    Invitation to DangerHaving gone to the aid of mysterious blonde, Reb Denning, the Saint finds a dying man who tells him, "Stop them...Friday night." He's soon captured by crooked casino owner, Brett Sunley, who claims he's stolen £100,000 from the casino. Templar manages to escape and tracks down Denning, who tells him a fantastic story of spies, and asks Simon's help in bringing down Sunley.
  • Legacy for the Saint

    Legacy for the SaintOn his way to meet his daughter, retired crook Ed Brown is killed. At the reading of the will, a posthumous film is shown to several rival gangsters as well as Brown's daughter, Penny, as well as Simon. There's a lot of money to whoever can match it can claim the money.

    The Desperate DiplomatDiplomat Jason Douglas's disappeared, along with a large sum of money. A mystery man holds his daughter, Sara hostage. The Saint finds out there's a large sum of money which Douglas seems to have stolen, and which others are working to kill to get.

    The Organisation ManThe Saint's contacted by Jonathan Roper, who's training a small group of mercenaries, and invites Templar to join. Roper informs Templar he wants him to lead an assault, and steal uniforms. It becomes apparent that Roper plans to disguise his men as British soldiers, but why?

    The Double TakeThe Saint's hired by Greek millionaire Eugene Patroclos to locate the man who's impersonating him. However, when Templar catches up with the double, he's told he's the real Patroclos, not the man who originally hired him. Both men have secretaries named 'Annabel', and Simon must work out which of the 2 Annabels he trusts, to help him unravel who's the real-deal.
  • The Time to Die

    The Time to DieWhilst in the company of his journalist friend Mary Ellen, the Saint receives a number of death threats, most starkly a wreath which informs him that he will be killed in two days' time.

    The Master PlanThe Saint answers a cry for help from Jean Lane, whose brother Tony has got himself into hot water after being blackmailed into working for crooked night-club owner Cord Thrandel. Having rescued Tony from Thrandel's grasp, Simon investigates a warehouse where he finds cases of plaster statues containing heroin.

    The House on Dragon's RockThe Saint has been summoned by the local doctor to a Welsh village whose residents have been attacked by strange, monstrous creatures. The link appears to be a research laboratory at nearby Dragon's Rock, run by the ominous Dr. Sardon. His niece Carmen is also very worried, and Templar joins her to investigate.

    The Scales of JusticeFive members of the board of Combined Holdings have all been recently murdered. It send each one received a card before their death. Gilbert Kirby, a friend of the Saint, is the latest board member to be threatened. He's due to be made Lord Mayor of London and escapes an assassination attempt whilst in the mayoral procession. Templar realise the would-be killer was on the float submitted by the company and the killer must be a member of the firm.

    The Fiction-Makers (1)Simon is mistaken for a mystery novelist, whom he is visiting, by a criminal gang who forces him to plot them a successful crime.

    The People ImportersWhilst fishing off the South coast of England the Saint comes across an unsuccessful boat-builder who is nonetheless in the money because he is in the business of smuggling illegal immigrants into the country.

    Where the Money IsThe Saint agrees to act as go-between, taking ransom money to the kidnappers of Jenny, the daughter of film producer Ben Kersh. The kidnappers blindfold Templar, but he's able to re-trace the trip to the hide-out in order to free Jenny. However, Jenny seems less than happy to be rescued than one would expect.

    Vendetta for the Saint (1)Templar is having a drink at a bar in Naples when he witnesses a mêlée between two of the customers. It appears that one of them has mistaken the other for an old colleague. Templar's suspicions are raised the next morning when he reads in the newspapers that one of the men has been murdered. He begins to investigate only to find himself thrown into the world of the Sicilian Mafia, and that few people are willing to help him.

They're all amazed at the luck which seems to follow Boris, the ex-king of Slavonia. Templar and Rod join up to find out if he's cheating and more importantly: why.

    The Man Who Gambled with LifeThe Saint's lured to a house in Cornwall by 2 attractive young sisters, where he meets their father; Keith Longman, an eccentric millionaire. He tells Templar that he is dying, and he plans to have himself put in suspended animation (frozen) until such time a cure can be found for his illness. He also plans to use the Saint as a guinea pig in testing out the process. Simon's not a willing victim, and must work out how to escape.
  • Portrait of Brenda

    Portrait of BrendaAlan Williams is found dead having rung the Saint for his assistance. Pop singer Diane Huntley, a friend of Alan's, takes the Saint to meet a guru who runs meditation sessions at a hefty price, and the Saint is convinced the guru is behind the murder. Diane tells the Saint that Alan had a younger sister Brenda, who also saw the guru and who committed suicide.The Saint gets on the case to avenge his friend.
