In June 1965, Rodion Stotsky, the police chief of Gurzuf, has maintained an unusually peaceful environment on Crimea’s southern coast—sometimes by bending the rules and sometimes by negotiating with criminals. But as a new holiday season begins, a string of serious crimes occurs within days: criminals are found shot in a taxi, a truck delivering salaries to Artek workers is robbed, and an underground casino is attacked. Realizing these incidents are linked, Stotsky begins investigating, assisted by his old friend Taras Zaytsev, who recently relocated to Crimea.

Episode 1June 1965. During his three years as head of militia Rodion Stotskiy has turned Gurzuf into the most peaceful place on the southern coast of Crimea. Even the beach con men here prefer not to take action. The murder of a cashier and a militioner during the attack on a car carrying salaries to “Artek” becomes his personal challenge. - Episode 2E2
Episode 2Stotskiy understands that the car attack is connected to the recent shooting of a taxi on Yaltinskaya highway and maybe with the daring robbery on a “Moscow-Simferopol” train. But he doesn’t realize, that a sister and her husband, who recently arrived to his girlfriend Alina, are those very robbers from the train. - Episode 8E8
Episode 8Regina and Arkady bring their “revenge plan” to an end. On his way to Gurzuf Arkady is arrested. Regina, who remains free, is preparing his escape. The investigation is closed, all the violators are captured. Routine paperwork is what’s left. But during one of the interrogations, Stotskiy realizes, that during all this time he’d been nothing but pawn in someone’s hands.
