Superman & Lois Ratings & Reviews
- Manuel FrangisMarch 23, 2025I just finished watching Superman & Lois and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This show honestly blew me away. I was not sure what to expect going in but it quickly became one of my favorite superhero shows. It has everything you could want from a Superman story while also bringing something completely fresh and grounded. Tyler Hoechlin is incredible as Superman. He plays the character with so much heart and strength and it feels totally natural. He captures both sides of Clark Kent and Superman in a way that makes him feel real. You can tell he really understands what makes Superman great. He is not just a hero because of his powers, but because of how much he cares. Elizabeth Tulloch is just as amazing as Lois Lane. She is smart, tough, and the perfect match for Clark. The way she fights for what is right without ever backing down is awesome to see. Their relationship is one of the strongest parts of the show. You believe in them as a couple, as parents, and as partners trying to do the right thing. One of the things that makes Superman & Lois stand out is how it mixes superhero action with family drama. This is not just about fighting villains, it is about raising a family, dealing with personal struggles, and trying to balance it all. That human side of the story is what makes it so easy to connect with. The kids are actually great too. Jordan and Jonathan Kent bring their own energy and challenges to the story. You get to see them deal with high school, relationships, and growing up in the shadow of Superman. It adds a whole new layer to the Superman mythos that works really well. The action scenes are really well done. The visual effects are surprisingly good for a TV show and the flying, the powers, the battles all look awesome. They make Superman feel powerful without going too over the top. Every fight has weight and looks cinematic. The writing is strong. There is a good mix of intense moments, emotional scenes, and even some humor. It does not rely on constant action to keep you interested. The characters and their relationships are just as engaging as the superhero stuff. The show also does a great job of building a larger world without making it feel too crowded or confusing. There are nods to the rest of the DC universe but the story mostly stays focused on Smallville and the Kent family. That makes it feel more personal and grounded. The pacing across the seasons is great. There are moments of buildup and mystery, but it never drags. You are always getting new twists, character growth, and awesome scenes that keep you coming back. The reason I give it 5 out of 5 stars is because it completely respects the legacy of Superman while doing something new. It has heart, it has action, and it never forgets what makes Superman such a great character. Overall Superman & Lois is one of the best superhero shows I have seen. It has amazing performances, a great story, and a tone that feels both classic and modern. I loved every minute of it and I cannot wait for the next season.
