The World's Greatest SuperFriends

In the fall of 1979, the Super Friends returned to their prior format and brought back the original set of five DC Superheroes along with Zan, Jayna and Gleek. Back to an hour in length as well, only eight new episodes were created during this run, with the majority of the season consisting of repeats of The All-New Superfriends Hour from 1977-78. Renamed The World's Greatest Superfriends, this series began on September 22, 1979 and ran until September 27, 1980.

When the Super Friends arrive to do battle, Superman and the Wonder Twins also wind up in the lamp, leaving the other Super Friends to take on Kareem's forces.

Mal Havoc uses his magic to turn the Super Friends into trolls. With their powers reduced, Batman and Wonder Woman accompany the troll king on a mission to free Middle Earth of the evil sorcerer.

Universe of EvilIn an alternate universe, the Super Friends are actually super villains, housed at the Hall of Evil, orchestrating terrible disasters all over the world. In a freak accident, evil Superman trades places with the good Superman. Good Superman must find the way back home, while the good Super Friends must protect the Earth from evil Superman.
