- Gwyneth Llewelyn19. dubna 2026If Series 5 was all about a triumphal ending, then the Season Finale is the proverbial cherry on the top of the multilayered chocolate cake. Take your time watching this. And pay attention to all the tiny details — they matter quite a lot. Don't assume that there is something wrong or a mistake in the narrative, the annotation, or the final cut. There isn't. Those scattered oddities matter in the Great Scheme of Things — and, spoiler alert, not all of them will be solved on this season. But there will not be further episodes — ever! Like all good Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, it's the players that make their own ending. The same applies to this series and its end: the Duffers Brothers closed almost every thread, but deliberately leave the ultimate ending open. For a new season? No, never; this campaign is finished, never to be reopened or continued. But there might be different campaigns, of course. All you need is a Dungeon Master with imagination.

- trrs9. února 2026Such a good show overall worth watching if not just once only caveat is when they filmed this there was a lot of breaks in between seasons and it shows especially in season 5 as it seemed rushed. However you get an experience that reminds you of being a kid in the 80s even if you weren’t. There’s the essence of magic and exploration mixed in with friendship and bonds between people that make the show a cozy watch at times. Overall I know I’ll probably rewatch this again at some point but it was and is a good show one of Netflix’s better ones.

- jacxcx24. ledna 2026I really didn’t stop crying, truly a beautiful, moving, and above all sensible ending. For one of the most important and beautiful series ever, I loved that they left it to the viewer to decide and think about whether Eleven is dead or not. PS: in my opinion, she is. There are too many inconsistencies in Mike’s account, but that’s the beautiful part, because it still gives the viewer hope and the chance to believe. Not everything has to perfectly add up. But I stick to my idea that El really is dead. Truly a wonderful and satisfying finale, full of tears and goosebumps.

- Pete6. ledna 2026A Bittersweet Farewell to Hawkins The series finale of Stranger Things delivers on nostalgia, emotion, and friendship, even if it sometimes feels like it plays it safe. Episode 8, “The Rightside Up,” is a sprawling, high-stakes conclusion that wraps up Hawkins’ interdimensional chaos while giving the main characters their well-earned moments of closure. The episode opens with a thrilling showdown against Vecna and the Mind Flayer, blending psychic duels, creative teamwork, and D&D-inspired strategy. The action sequences are visually impressive and emotionally charged, especially with Eleven, Max, and the others confronting their fears and past traumas. However, at times the pacing feels rushed, and the sheer number of moving parts can make the plot feel a bit chaotic. Where the finale shines is in its heart. The series’ core themes—friendship, growing up, and the power of shared stories—are front and center. The time jump 18 months later is a comforting epilogue: Hawkins is rebuilding, characters are moving forward in their lives, and younger kids take up the D&D mantle, symbolizing the passing of the torch. Moments like a final D&D session with the original group echo the show’s first episode, making for a satisfying bookend. Critically, the episode leans toward emotional closure over shocking twists. Some fans may find this choice underwhelming, and a few plot conveniences feel too neat, especially after the series’ darker and more unpredictable earlier seasons. Still, the finale succeeds in delivering a hopeful and heartfelt goodbye, even if some tension is sacrificed along the way. Verdict: Stranger Things S5E8 is a bittersweet, nostalgia-laden farewell. It may not be perfect, but it rewards long-time viewers with emotional payoffs, character growth, and a sense of closure—leaving Hawkins in a place of hope, even as the Upside Down’s shadows linger in memory.
- neilmohr5. ledna 2026After the rest of series 5 I came in expecting the worst and was thankfully blown away by a phenomenal final episode. A gripping, emotional and touching way to wrap up the king running series and characters we've come to love.
- The Gutter Monkey5. ledna 2026Not particularly bad, but not particularly good either. It's just... innocuously there.
- Streetter1. ledna 2026I guess Netflix's moral of the story is... When Monsters molest children, they become gay and think they're the main character!
- Michael Basaldua4. ledna 2026Good ending but where tf was my boy Argyle
- Tristan Thede4. ledna 2026If L is alive great ending... If Like died fuck the whole series...
- Ray Hopkin3. ledna 2026I loved this finale to a show I started watching on my own 9 years ago, to rewatching it again with my son! I loved the finale, it was everything I hoped, I was dreading them going the obvious route and killing off some major (favourite) characters, and I'm glad they allowed the characters a happy ending, this is the kind of show that needed that. The final battle was well earned, as Bower had made Vecna and Henry into one of the most interesting villains in a long time! But the episode, and the series as a whole, really allowed the characters to develop, and that patience paid off in this ending. Scenes such as Dusty obviously still processing his grief was done so well. The series as a whole was one of the best TV shows I've seen, just so well done.
- Samy32323. ledna 2026A fantastic ending! This series will become the best of the moment. I'm very satisfied with the ending.
- Devon Geathers1. ledna 2026A beautiful end to a beautiful show!
- Kevin Ward3. ledna 2026A fitting send off, albeit around 2 years later than it should have come. Production values and effects looked very impressive. Props for that. I think the season, in general felt kind of overstuffed with too many characters that they were clearly trying to give proper closure to all of them. The result is a finale that feels like the last 45 minutes are just 6 different epilogue. I think they missed the boat having a significant character die. I think it would have elevated the stakes, and made for a really emotional finale. Plenty of characters felt like they were positioned perfectly for heroic deaths. Enjoyed it, but didn’t love it. Am super curious what The Duffer Bros. Post Stranger Things projects will look like. Just read a blurb about The Boroughs and it has a tremendous cast. We’ll see if it delivers. I am very much not excited about a Stranger Things animated spin-off.
