Episode 2Granville decides to offer life style guidance to his male customers, acting as personal trainer to a reluctant Gastric and selling rather unusual underpants. Mr Newbold's latest attempt to escape Mrs Featherstone's clutches lands him at the mercy of man-eater Merle whilst Leroy is again unsuccessful in his pursuit of librarian Beth. - Episode 3E3
Episode 3With Madge and Beth still rejecting Gastric and Leroy only Granville seems to be getting anywhere with Mavis - until they are interrupted by Mr Newbold, buying supplies to sustain himself whilst hiding from Mrs Featherstone. When she turns her attentions to Granville he devises a bizarre plan to get the mismatched couple together, with the help of a shop window dummy and an invented story about Mrs Feasthetrstone's exotic past. - Episode 4E4
Episode 4Granville has bought a load of items which turn out to be rancid Chinese food, which he unsuccessfully tries to market as Harmony Vessels - the Eastern Way to Bliss. Meanwhile Mrs Featherstone's efforts to persuade people that she and Mr Newbold are a couple are more fruitful than Leroy's continued ploys to woo Beth and Gastric's foray into modern sculpture - though Granville takes full advantage of the latter. - Episode 5E5
Episode 5With Madge considering moving away and taking Mavis with her Granville resorts to invoking a ghost from the past to stop them - with little success. He does however fare better at selling Old Moter Hemlock's crab apple jelly to his gullible customers whilst Mrs Featherstone drags Mr Newbold out for a dinner date. - Episode 6E6
Episode 6For his latest sale Granville persuades Cyril and Wet Eric to make their wives jealous by involving each other taking turns to impersonate the 'other woman'. This tends to be as successful as his efforts to dissuade Madge and Mavis from moving by organizing a dinner date at a less than exclusive restaurant. - Episode 7E7
Episode 7Granville sets off in a hired van for Scarborough, where Mavis is on holiday with Madge, leaving Leroy in charge of the shop, where he is inevitably taken advantage of by the regulars. Granville is also unfortunate in his attempts to get Mavis alone, due to the van's faulty alarm and the arrival of other, unexpected visitors.
