Tia and Tamera Mowry play twins who were separated at birth, and as teenager meet by chance at a shopping mall. Ray Campbell, Tamera's adoptive father, is very different from Tia's adoptive mother, Lisa Landry, but the twins don't want to be separated, so Ray and Lisa end up living together. The series often focuses on the trouble the twins get into because of their their identical appearance--and the love/hate relationship between Lisa and Ray.

However, this results in their cars crashing into each other, and the wreck scares Tia off from getting behind the wheel again; and even Lisa who is ordinarily so sure of everything, is shaken up by the experience.
