On April 20, 2010, images of the Deepwater Horizon went around the world. The oil rig 80 kilometers off Louisiana was in flames. Rescue workers tried to prevent the great disaster, but in the end eleven people died – and the escaping oil led to the worst oil spill in history up to that point. BP paid a fine of 4.5 billion dollars.
