- RichmarIVJanuary 24, 2025I LOVE IT “RICK AND MORTY FOREVER” -Rick and Morty
- Scott beardDecember 16, 2025Rick and Morty is one of the smartest, most daring animated series ever created. At first glance, it may appear to be a chaotic sci-fi comedy about a drunken, nihilistic scientist dragging his grandson through interdimensional adventures. But beneath the outrageous plots, vulgar humor, and absurd violence lies a show of incredible intelligence, philosophical depth, and emotional resonance. Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland forged a universe where the multiverse is a playground for ideas, existential horror, and dark comedy, often simultaneously. The series is fearless in its willingness to explore complex themes that few other shows even live-action ones would dare touch. Identity, free will, morality, love, death, and the meaninglessness of existence are constant undercurrents, all packaged in a format that makes them digestible, laughable, and deeply unsettling. Episodes such as “The Ricklantis Mixup” or “Pickle Rick” are not only absurdly entertaining but also showcase meticulous writing and narrative ambition, weaving multiple storylines and philosophical commentary seamlessly. Humor in Rick and Morty is often crude, shocking, and absurd, but never meaningless. The show revels in the ridiculous, and yet almost every joke is grounded in the logic of its own universe. Whether it is a grotesque alien mutation, a pun about multiversal physics, or a meta joke about television tropes, the comedy works on multiple levels. It can make viewers laugh out loud while simultaneously forcing them to confront the terror of existence or the futility of human endeavor. One of the series’ greatest strengths is its characters. Rick Sanchez is the archetype of the genius misanthrope, intensely intelligent, cynical, and self destructive, yet capable of occasional, fleeting glimpses of empathy. Morty, by contrast, represents innocence, morality, and the human cost of interdimensional chaos. The dynamic between them is both hilarious and tragic, offering moments of real emotional depth amidst the outrageous sci-fi antics. Secondary characters, from Summer to Beth to Jerry, are similarly nuanced, providing the show with a rich tapestry of human and sometimes non human experience to explore. Rick and Morty thrives on unpredictability. It consistently subverts expectations, undermines narrative conventions, and plays with audience assumptions. One moment, a storyline may appear lighthearted or simple, the next it plunges into existential dread or moral ambiguity. The show never settles into comfort or formula, which keeps it fresh, engaging, and intellectually stimulating even after multiple seasons. Philosophically, the series is groundbreaking. It grapples with nihilism, determinism, and the absurdity of life, but without ever becoming preachy. It forces viewers to confront uncomfortable questions. What does it mean to matter in a vast, uncaring universe? How do relationships survive when everything else is meaningless? Can morality exist when every possibility is equally real across the multiverse? It answers these questions with equal parts humor, horror, and heart. Visually, Rick and Morty is bold and inventive. The animation allows for limitless creativity, from grotesque alien worlds to mind-bending dimensions and surreal creatures. Every frame is a canvas for storytelling, whether conveying action, emotion, or absurdity. The art style, while accessible and often simple, is precise in its comedic timing and visual gags, complementing the writing perfectly. The series also excels at meta commentary. It is self aware without being obnoxious, poking fun at fan culture, pop science, and television itself. Its willingness to deconstruct genre conventions while still telling compelling, emotional stories is part of what makes it revolutionary. Finally, Rick and Morty is emotionally resonant in ways that many comedies fail to achieve. Beneath the nihilism and chaos are moments of genuine human connection, grief, and moral struggle. The show reminds viewers that even in a meaningless universe, relationships, empathy, and moments of compassion matter, even if only fleetingly. In short, Rick and Morty is far more than a cartoon. It is a bold experiment in storytelling, philosophy, and comedy, blending absurdity, intelligence, and emotion in a way that no other show has achieved. It is chaotic, clever, shocking, and endlessly inventive. For those who can handle the dark humor and existential weight, it is a masterpiece of modern animation. Its cultural impact is undeniable, its creativity unmatched, and its genius status is absolutely legendary. LEGENDARY STATUS UNLOCKED!! ❤️👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
- DrinelsonOctober 12, 2025This is obviously an incredible show but season 8 just seemed like the same ol episodes and ideas. Didn’t feel like the story progressed much. But still 5 stars for all the other seasons.
- darsanJuly 28, 2025it just keeps getting better and better with each season can't WAITT for season 9
- AlexMay 5, 2025Who up ricking they mortys
- ProfSolonJuly 22, 2025Great modern animation with lots of nods to the classics.
- Oliver GilesJune 5, 2025Seasons 1 - 3 are incredibly well written for the most part, great comedy and good amounts of drama. Since then I think it’s fair to say that the show has declined in quality for the most part. There are still some great episodes here and there, but especially with Season 7 the writers are playing things incredibly safe and, as such, getting away from the more out-there concepts the show became known for in the first place.
- JozzFebruary 18, 2025Best of the best ever! Sad and unfair what they did to Justin Roiland. Still greatest stuff ever seen. RICK AND MORTY (AND JUSTIN) FOREVER AND FOREVER A HUNDRED YEARS 💯
- CringeCoreJuly 20, 202510/10 doctor recommended
- stevencaceres245June 26, 2025My son actually got me into this and I ended up laughing my ass off! It is irreverent, dirty, fun slapstick comedy. If you loved venture Brothers, you’ll undoubtedly enjoy this series. It’s too bad about the creator. It kind of tainted the show, but it’s looking like all the actors are still committed to the fun ride that they created.
- michaeltegaJuly 19, 2025Just you and me Morty Rick and Morty 100yrs , Rick and Morty forever
- ChillPlexApril 10, 2025Rick and Morty is straight-up interdimensional fire, Morty. It’s like if a black hole and a bottle of space tequila had a baby and that baby wrote TV. The storytelling? Smart as hell. The humor? Darker than the Council of Ricks. Every episode is packed with mind-blowing science, emotional gut-punches, and just the right amount of “I’m not a hero, Morty, because real life’s not a f***ing cartoon!” You want laughs? You want feels? You want a drunk genius screaming about meaningless existence while turning himself into a pickle? Boom—Rick and Morty delivers. Get your shit together and binge it, Morty. Get all your shit in a bag and watch the best damn show in the multiverse.
