The RaceYates and Favor argue over giving the drovers time off but Favor has a herd lined up to leave the next day. Rowdy quits but on Favor's word is offered a herd of his own. He vows to beat Favor but will skill or luck be the deciding factor?

The Enormous FistWhen Favor hits a man looking for a job, the man hits a fence killing him. Favor is faced with several men wanting revenge at an inquest and the man's young and poor but pretty widow with kids wanting Favor to take her with him.

PineyFavor hears Piney Kinney wants to join the herd thinking it will solve his need for drovers. However, Piney who lost his herd and most of his ranch, is working with a gang to rob the bank and use Favor's herd as cover for their escape.

A Man Called MushyAt trails end, Mushy is embarrassed and denounced by Favor for being conned out of the drive's wagons and supplies by a band of Gypsies. Dejected, Mushy wanders off alone in the desert to be followed by Favor and Rowdy.

CanlissStoried hired gun Gurd stalks an Hispanic cattleman, while Gil's drovers join the Don's peasants to celebrate. Gurd's young wife pleads with him to drop the assignment, & retire to her family plantation, but the aging Gurd's reputation won't let him, so she seeks Gil's help.

Damon's Road (1)Jonathan Damon is building the C&L Railroad. His crew has quit do to lack of pay. The store says no more credit. Goldie, his girl, and the three girls in her act are leaving. He needs to dig up 20 men. Favor shows up with 2400 cattle and 28 men. Damon tricks the drovers in o signing work contracts and having Favor arrested for abducting Goldie.

Damon's Road (2)Damon has Favor's crew believing the railroad is the future. Favor escapes and goes to his crew, who want to be railroaders. Favor gets Quince to sent a false telegram that Damon's payroll arrived a week ago. Favor tells Damon's old crew. They go for a showdown with Damon.

The BackshooterA fugitive convinces Rowdy to bring him to the sheriff and hand over the reward to his wife. But the fugitive is murdered on the way to the sheriff, no wife can be found, and three friends of the fugitive are out to kill Rowdy.

Corporal DasovikWhen a officer dies, Cpl. Dasovik is forced to take over the mission but he has no control over the men. The men pick up Favor when they take some of his cattle. Dasovik soon learns he is alone but he is determined to carry out his orders.

No Dogs or DroversThe drovers reach Junction City. They are ready to blow off steam. They want rooms, baths, and drinks. But the townspeople shun the drovers, refusing to serve them. To compound matters, Gil Favor seems to be oblivious to their plight.

The MeetingFavor and another trail boss are forced to go to meet Rian Powers. Powers has assembled a group of outlaws. He has a plan to take over the beef industry, buy scaring off legitimate buyers so the trail bosses must sell to his men at low prices.

The BookPop Stark promotes gunfights for profit. Billy his latest boy just lost. Carl Hatcher loaned Pop money. His brothers are coming to collect. Pop arranges a gunfight between Rowdy and Austin Ware, a professional gunfighter.

JoshAt the end of a drive, Favor fed up with bad luck takes it out on old Josh. When a potential inheritance turns out to be a dream, Josh's pride gets in the way of realizing he must bend sometimes when others want to help him.

A Time for WaitingRowdy had given testimony against his friend Capt. Ballinger, resulting in a death sentence. Now Ballinger has called on Rowdy to witness the possible execution unless a way can be found to escape that punishment.

Moment in the SunSheriff Royal K. Shaw plans are making a name for himself by delivering popular Robin Hoodesque outlaw, Reed McClulley. He ties up with the herd. Reed's little brother rallies the farmers to free Reed.
Texas Fever

Texas FeverPete Nolan (Sheb Wooley), who'd been out scouting for the Army for the last couple of years, is back working for Favor starting in this episode, only to find himself falsely accused of rustling and murder. The local sheriff and some cattlemen, who've been victimized by the rustlers, are too willing to hang him quickly without any real trial. Favor and Rowdy try to find the real rustlers and save Pete from the gallows, though the trail may lead too close to a friendly rancher Favor respects.
Blood Harvest

Blood HarvestClete Bonner and his grandson Will, posing as Jonas and Duke Williams, join the drive, to see if Will's Dad, Adam, is suitable to take Will. Adam, known as Cable now, is scheming with two others to steal 1500 head and sell to the army.

The Violet LandMace and Gorman the new drovers have more than cows on thier minds. Mace shows Favor a reward poster for $10,000 for a white girl captured by the Apaches. Rowdy visits the grave of his sister killed the the indians. Rowdy refuses to sell twelve head to Yuma, the Apache chief.

The Winter SoldierAn Army deserter has left stolen Army property at Favor's camp (leading to Favor's arrest by an Army detail), and the deserter is intent on stealing money from a father and daughter who have recently left the drovers' camp alone.
Prairie Fire

Prairie FireWish buries Tod Murdoch, his friend, who 500 head he is to take to tie up with Favor's herd at horsehead crossing. Tod's foreman Jerry and Milt and Pitts plan to steal the cattle once they get the ownership paper from Wish. Wish has hidden it plain sight. He won't tell where and they try to beat it out of him.

RetreatArmy Major, commander of his post, feeling denigrated by the Army, steals the Army's cash on his last day and packages it for Favor to mail to the Major who plans to abscond, but new information causes him to try returning it to Army.
Empty Sleeve

Empty SleeveTom Cowan lost an arm in the war. He had a friend in the hospital write his wife, Jenny, that he died. Tom reluctantly returns to his hometown when the herd needs salt. Sam Butler, the banker, made a deal with Tom when he was caught robbing the bank. Tom enlisted under Sam's son's name, Will. Tom is shot by the sheriff and brought into town. Sam wants him snuck out. Will tells Jenny the whole story.
The Last Order

The Last OrderA wounded man wanders into camp with the strong box from a stagecoach robbery. Favor decides to hold the money till the next town but when two of the robbers enter camp and one gets away, the drive is hit with dangers from the robbers.

Mrs. HarmonWish is tired of trail cooking. He quits the drive and befriends a mother and her three boys. She is married to an abusive drunk, Fred Harmon who beats her. At the hotel, Fred tries to beat Wish to within an inch of his life. Mrs. Harmon shoots her husband. Wish takes the blame. Charlie Peg the hotel clerk knows the Mrs. did it and blackmails Wish.
The Calf Women

The Calf WomenTwo sisters follow the drive picking up stray calves. Rowdy is attracted to the older sister. A buffalo hunter tries to abduct the younger sister; her sister kills him. The dead man's brother seeks revenge; he comes after Rowdy Yates.
The Spanish Camp

The Spanish CampThe spring that feeds a creek, has been dammed by Dr. John Merritt and his friend Phinn Harper and their men. They are looking for the remains of a 200 year old Spanish expedition, and their treasure chest. Merritt has three to four months to live and has nothing to leave his wife and kids. He quit practicing medicine, but is teaching Phinn. The cattle need the water.
El Hombre Bravo

El Hombre BravoFavor and Mushy are driving six prize bulls toward the American border in Mexico. A band of Mexicans tell Favor they are looking for El Hombre Bravo. General Velasquez's men rope a drive steer and search the wagons for El Hombre Bravo. Favor and Mushy meet Pajarito, a school teacher and eight orphans heading to a mission north of the border. Pajarito wrote pamphlets for the revolutionaries and signed them El Hombre Bravo.
The Gray Rock Hotel

The Gray Rock HotelSeveral of Favor's men are sick with a mysterious illness. Favor and the sick men make it to the abandoned Gray Rock Hotel where they are protected from the cold and wind. They find a beautiful but strange woman with dangerous past.
