BBC comedy series about Rab C. Nesbitt, a drunken, string vested layabout who lives with his long suffering wife Mary and his two sons in the working class area of Govan in Glasgow. When he's not getting drunk with his pals that include the devious, womanizing Jamesie Cotter. He's offering his philosophical outlook on life to whoever will listen.

Slimy old school-mate and Labour hopeful Gavin Clark sees the opportunity to grab a few votes by pretending to go back to his roots - not that it does him much good on the night. Mary, however, has a far more pressing problem when she discovers a rat in her kitchen. - Drink
E4Episode 4DrinkRab's doctor advises him to stop drinking or else he will be dead within six months. To add to Rab's annoyance Jamesie decides to pack in the booze and the family hide his drinks money. However, he does finally agree to attend an A.A. meeting, whilst the doctor discovers that too much exercise is not necessarily a good thing.
