Aspiring fashion designers compete for a chance to break into the industry in this reality competition. Each week, a designer is eliminated from the competition after exhibiting their work in front of a judges' panel.

    There Is No "I" In Team16 new contestant vie to be the winner of Project Runway. But there's a twist: this season they will have to compete as teams. For their first challenge, they are asked to create an outfit that shows their point-of-view using New York City as the inspiration. The teams have $1200 and one day to complete their garments.

    Surprise MeThe contestants are tasked to design garments for Heidi Klum and the launch of her new fragrance line. Heidi will wear the winning garment in her national commercial and a second winning garment at a press event. The teams have $1200 and one day to complete the challenge.

    The Ultimate Hard And SoftWhile the teams get a twist, the designers also get a blast from the past when two unconventional challenges are merged into one for their newest challenge--creating a line out of hard and soft materials from the flower shop and hardware store.

    A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock 'N' RollThe teams get another big shake up and learn their next challenge is to design a performance look and red carpet look for country superstar, Grammy Award-winning singer Miranda Lambert who also guest judges.

    Senior FlingThe designers must learn to respect their elders while still showing their aesthetic when they are tasked with designing fashionable, age-appropriate looks for senior citizens. Red carpet experts Joan and Melissa Rivers guest judge.

    A Sticky SituationSome designers get "stuck" with the next challenge when they must create fashion forward prom wear made out of duct tape, leading to a shocking elimination no one sees coming. Designer Chris Benz guest judges.
  • Take It All Off!

    Take It All Off!After being divided into two teams, the contestants are tasked to design three tear-away outfits for Australia's all-male revue Thunder From Down Under. Each team has $750 and one day to complete the challenge.
  • He Said, She Said

    He Said, She SaidIn three teams, the designers are instructed to create ready-to-wear looks by drawing inspiration from the signature Lord & Taylor rose. The teams have $75 per person and one day to complete the challenge.
  • The Art of Fashion

    The Art of FashionIn teams of two, the designers are asked to make a piece of wearable art and a ready-to-wear companion piece. They must also draw inspiration from the Guggenheim Museum in creating their own fabrics to use in their designs. They have $200 for supplemental fabric and two days to complete the challenge.
  • Finally On My Own

    Finally On My OwnAfter the team format is dissolved, the designers are asked to create an editorial-look for actress Jordana Brewster to appear in Marie Claire magazine. They have $250 and one day to complete their garments.
  • Europe, Here We Come

    Europe, Here We ComeThe designers travel to Berlin, Barcelona, London, and Paris to get inspiration for a high-end runway look. They have $1000 and two days (one for planning and one for fabrication) to complete the challenge.
  • Finale: Part 1

    Finale: Part 1Each of the remaining designers is given five months and $10,000 to design a 12-piece collection for Fashion Week. In the interim, each gets a special visit in their hometown from Tim Gunn. Back in New York, they must choose three of their looks to show as part of a mini-collection in order to secure their spot in the final runway show.
  • Finale: Part 2

    Finale: Part 2In the conclusion of the finale, the remaining contestants ready their collections for the runway. They are given an additional $500 to spend at Mood to finish their looks. Then they present their lines to industry insiders at Fashion Week.
