25-year-old Sôichirô returns home to find his sister Haruko living with 29-year-old Natsuki and Fuyumi. Natsuki and Sôichirô form a strong bond, but become involved with other people all the while wondering who they should be with.

Temperature of a KissEveryone panics when it looks like Fuyumi tried to kill herself. Kuga patches her up. Sô-chan says he'd break off with someone he couldn't make happy, and Natsuki agrees. A drunk Fuyumi kisses Kuga. Natsuki gets angry, and storms off, but Kuga goes after her, and kisses her for real. Natsuki calls home. Sô-chan answers, and finds out she is with Kuga, and won't be coming home. - The Temperature of a Kiss第 5 集
The Temperature of a KissSôichirô loses his job. He tells Natsuki, and the two go out drinking in a bar called "Over Time." Sôichirô explains "overtime" is like extra innings in a baseball game. Natsuki tells Haruko that Sôichirô lost his job, and Haruko tells Nazuna. Nazuna calls him to ask why he didn't tell her. The next morning she shows up outside his work with breakfast.
