It is a TV drama series that has been airing on NHK General's "Drama 10" slot since January 10, 2023. Based on Fumi Yoshinaga's manga "O-oku," it will feature three episodes of Tokugawa Iemitsu and Banrikoji Arimoto, Tokugawa Tsunayoshi and Uemon-sa, and Tokugawa Yoshimune and Mizuno Yunoshin, as well as the process leading to the return of the Grand Council of State, which has not been depicted in previous live-action productions.
