- ርልዪረJanuary 25, 2025A great comedy from a sadly, now by-gone age. Richard Wilson & Annette Crosbie are superb in this comedy as 2 average Joe's facing life as pensioners. Hard to believe that when we first started watching watching this series, we were fairly young but have now almost reached pension age ourselves. Victor Meldrew may seem like and old grump, but in reality, he says much of what we all think. It's a classic BBC comedy, one of the last great shows before the world went PC mad. The feature length ONE FOOT IN THE ALGARVE has got o be our favourite, followed closely by THE TRIAL, an amazing episode, in which Victor Meldrew is the only character in it. To fill a half hour comedy slot by yourself is truly a mark of great acting & great script writing. Great value for money & a box set that will be watched often.
