Misao Kashima is a retired singer. She gave up her career after her husband died. After mourning for eight years, one day she finds the courage to return to the diner and eat a favourite dish of her late husband: minced meat cutlets. When one of the customers asks her for help with his sick wife, Misao is forced to review her own life choices.
