棒球大联盟小联盟篇

第四季故事以吾郎高中毕业，由于输给了名校海堂高中，不能进军甲子园。但是他在电视转播上，看到了乔吉普森的采访，于是决定到美国去磨练自己，目标是加入大联盟，打败吉普森。为了最终向大联盟发起挑战，吾郎远赴美国开始了一个人的生活。可是在到达了洛杉矶机场后马上就遇到了麻烦，这时，一位和吾郎同样来挑战大联盟的大学生八木沼帮助了他。两人一起接受亚利桑那州凤凰城的一家大型棒球队萨蒙斯的入团试验，可是吾郎却被人说连接受测试的资格都没有…… 接着吾郎陷入了与高高耸立在他职业棒球之路前的厚重之墙的苦战中。而在小联盟公开赛中出场的吾郎，遇到了一位少年击球手。他的名字叫乔·吉布森Jr(乔·吉布森二世)，也就是那个乔·吉布森的儿子。但是，不知为何对吾郎抱持着激烈的憎恶感？
