He persuades De Medici's doctor to perform a post mortem but De Medici arranges for the doctor to be killed in a supposed attempt on his own life. The weapon is a poisoned arrow,a method favoured by the Milanese - which convinces Leonardo that that was how the poison entered the duke's body.
