Laura and Rebecca are two surgical residents, completely different from each other, the former is a determined and understanding girl, the latter spoilt and man-eating; both fall in love with two surgeons, Fabio Moreno and Jonas Janacek. Their love stories will not be simple but rather troubled: Laura will always live in fear that Fabio will decide to leave for Africa, while Rebecca, who after so many one-night stands and unimportant affairs will fall in love with Jonas, will discover that he has lied to her and is about to marry another woman.
