Children's comedy drama about a football team, the Glipton Grasshoppers, and their enthusiastic Geordie manager, Joswell 'Jossy' Blair. The show was written by darts commentator and TV personality Sid Waddell.

Whilst the kids of the team don't recognise him, coach Albert is quick to tell them of his semi-legendary status, and they decide to rope him in to turn their team around. Jossy, however, takes more than a little bit of convincing.

The manager of a rival team capitalises on his anger by poaching him - and his father's money. The Giants are left struggling to raise the funds to enter the tournament.
