The costumes, time-period locations (though few), and the main character being a trans woman make for an excellent series. However, it was just too long for me. They could have cut 3 episodes and cut a 1/3 of each episode and I might have been less bored. How bored was I? I watched the series at 1.5x speed, which was the max that I could read the subtitles at. I rarely watch a series at faster than normal speed, but this one required it.
