- Jim FoxMarch 26, 2026This is very reminiscent of Mr. Sahara & Toki-kun, so if you liked that series you are sure to like this one. There was a lot of controversy when this first started streaming on whether this is a BL or not. There is really no romance, no kiss, and no overt language to each other about their feelings. I almost didn't give it a chance because of this, but I'm glad I did (there is a cute confession scene - although it wasn't understood by the other). The relationship between a high school kid and an adult might fly in manga, but not so much on a broadcast show. The last episode has Toru graduating from High School, and there are special episodes coming, so perhaps we'll be given something in the way that supports their relationship.
