Season 1 Ratings & Reviews
Boston Globe
Joanna Weiss
The impressive thing about "iCarly" is how relatively natural it feels.
Variety
Laura Fries
Despite the rather fanciful premise of kids existing in a fabulously cool broadcast studio fully funded by absent parents, "iCarly" manages to convey a nice sense of familial camaraderie, especially with the three main characters.
The Hollywood Reporter
Marilyn Moss
The premise is a fresh one, and the cast of many is likewise upbeat and savvy. The idea of kids on the Web couldn't be more topical. The writing is lively as well, and the production is first-rate.
Seattle Times
Jennifer Frey
Nobody breaks into spontaneous song or starts a band or is a secret pop star - at least not yet - but otherwise, iCarly touches all the tween bases.
Gannett News Service
Mike Hughes
This is broad satire, but accurate.
Common Sense Media
Emily Ashby
Much of it is laugh-out-loud funny, it boasts a colorful cast of characters (thanks to a very talented cast) and it reflects the technological nature of modern social interactions.
