

An adaptation of the novel "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" (1884) by Mark Twain. The formerly homeless boy Huckleberry Finn has been adopted by the Widow Douglas. He finds her to be a particularly controlling parent as she aims to "civilize" him. Meanwhile, Finn's abusive biological father is trying to kidnap him. Huck wants to reclaim his freedom, so he teams-up with the runaway slave Jim in a journey away from either of both parents.
