There are over two million cars on our roads and many of us spend up to two hours a day behind the wheel. So, if we're spending so much time driving, why are some of us so bad at it? In 'How's Your Driving?' Simon Delaney examines Ireland's driving habits, both good and bad, while real Irish drivers take on a series of test track challenges.

    Episode 1 Drink & DrugsSimon Delaney takes a frank and honest look at driving in Ireland. In this episode, our test drivers are put through their paces whilst “under the influence” as we discover how alcohol and drugs actually affect our driving abilities. Here we see 22 year-old Kevin making a potential fatal driving decision after just two pints and 18 year-old Jack try and complete our track challenge under the simulated influence of drugs. We also test our nations motoring knowledge and find out what visitors to our shores think of our driving abilities.

    Episode 3 Driver DistractionsIrish drivers are one of the highest users of mobile and smart phones in Europe, which unfortunately includes some of our nations drivers. In this episode, Simon Delaney and our test track volunteers discover that it’s not always “good to talk” as we challenge their driving abilities whilst chatting or texting. Donegal native Michael takes on our track challenge whist answering “Delaney’s mobile pop-quiz” and Cork native Jack tries to text Simon whilst avoiding both cars and other hazards.

Test drivers, Adam and Aoife discover first-hand how “bald” and “soft” tyres affect their driving abilities and much to their surprise the tests don’t go as planned. We go under the bonnet to reveal the potentially fatal hidden dangers in your car that we should all be aware of. And, we find out what the people who drive our nation’s roads for a living think of sharing them with the rest of us.
