- Callum4d ago⭐⭐⭐⭐ (out of 5) Harper’s Island – The wedding from hell where everyone’s on the guest list… for murder. “Harper’s Island” starts like a romantic getaway — a group of friends and family heading to a picturesque island for a wedding — and quickly descends into one of the most entertaining bloodbaths ever aired on television. Within minutes, you know this is no ordinary celebration. When the first body turns up (in a particularly grim fashion involving a boat propeller), it’s clear the weekend is doomed. The show mixes slasher horror with classic whodunnit energy, keeping viewers guessing as bodies pile up and trust evaporates. There are red herrings, fake-outs, and more twists than you can count — some turn out to be nothing, others hit hard, and the final reveal manages to surprise even when you’ve been told to expect one. The kills are creative, sometimes shockingly so, and the series doesn’t shy away from showing them. I’ll admit — I went down a rabbit hole researching a few of the murder methods (pure curiosity, of course). Ultimately, Harper’s Island is about one simple truth: nobody is who they seem, no matter how long you’ve known them. It’s tense, twisted, and far more fun than any wedding should ever be.
